About Steve Shanks

Steve Shanks

I have been drawing all of my life, though I followed in my father’s footsteps and went into the business world for 25 years before I started full time painting in 1999. Under apprenticeship to my Late wife and partner artist Ann Harper, I developed my own style and vision. A voracious painter, the paintings began to accumulate, and I discovered there was a market for my work. In 2000 I began selling in online galleries and through my website. I am involved in many shows and contests, and have won several awards for creativity and composition. My work is continuing to grow in value.
